Carolyn McWilliams Brown grew up in Houston, Texas on a street called Kimberley Lane. It was a place where the neighborhood kids roamed from house to house and the mommas were forever borrowing cups of sugar. She graduated from Baylor University with a BS in Education and an MA from The University of Colorado. After teaching in Texas for several years, she continued her career at the American School in Shanghai, China. While on an airplane, she met her future husband and they now reside with their three children in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. They live on a modern-day Kimberley Lane where the kids once again, roam from house to house and the mommas are still swapping cups of sugar (and sometimes mac and cheese). The author and her homeschooled family enjoy camping out in the treehouse, educating folks on the art of snipe hunting, and drinking hot chocolate by the campfire with marshmallows that float….of course. All You Want and Then Some is her first book.
Deb Hoeffner describes her unique style of “soft realism” as a layering of thought, paint, and possibilities. During a twenty-five-year professional career, her work has been widely published in books and magazines, including The New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, and Bugle, the Journal of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Her paintings and drawings are in many private collections. Deb’s studio is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. A portfolio of her work can be seen at www.debhoeffner.com.
